Saturday’s Homily – Fr. Chris Martin

At 10:15 this morning, 3,000+ teens filed into JQH for Mass after their separate men’s and women’s sessions. During the homily, Fr. Chris Martin had some wonderful words to say about God’s word.

Fr. Martin helped the teens to understand how the Word is “living and effective” in our lives. It is the only written word that can truly change the course of our lives like no other work of fiction or non-fiction.

Quotables

“Scripture is not a dead book. It is the living word.”

“The greatest story ever told is not a work of fiction. It is the story of who God is and who you are.”

“God’s greatest work is not creation. It was redemption. Making you a saint was (and is) his greatest work.”
