An Unpleasant Surprise

A funny thing happened to me at Steubystl.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to tell jokes, joke around, and mess with my friends. And my friends like to do the same with me.

Well, I was working in the social media booth (that’s me on the far right in the picture above). It was Friday night, before the doors had opened, and I was “in the zone”. Have you ever been in the zone? Do you, like me, hate to be distracted when you are in the zone? I know, right?

Jesus’s Heart Is Moved With Pity For Us

Archbishop Carlson (along with 41 priests) presided at our closing Mass, and it was a powerful celebration of the abundant life that the Lord wants for all of us.

In today’s Gospel, when Jesus “…saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.” We certainly are a vast crowd. His heart was moved with pity for us – especially in the sacrament of Reconciliation. And the Lord definitely taught us many things this weekend.
