Listen to the audio from Jake, a teenage participant in Franciscan LEAD.
Jake shares his testimony about a profound experience he had in Confession, when a priest shared with him a story about St. Teresa of Calcutta.
We don’t go to Confession because God doesn’t know our sins, we go to Confession so that He may forget them.
We’re all searching for God. Sean Forrest shared his heart with us tonight, particularly about how he spent many years searching for truth– searching for God. The unique beauty of Christianity though, is that it reveals a God that we do not need to search for, because He searches for us. He longs for us. And tonight, He extends to us an invitation to come to know Him better.
Here at Steuby STL, we are blessed to have so many priests and religious with us during the weekend. We would be remiss, however, if we didn’t highlight one of our favorite members of the clergy: Cardboard Pope Francis.
He has been a faithful volunteer at the Steuby Bookstore for years, and while he always intends to help unload merchandise and ring up patron’s purchases, he is far too busy posing for selfies with his adoring flock. Especially his favorites—teenagers.
“I never wanted to be a celebrity, but a cardboard cutout’s got to do, what a cardboard cutout’s got to do.”
