Limitless love. It’s been six months since we focused on this theme at Steubenville 2015. Are your actions demonstrating that the limitless love of God is the most important thing in your life? Or, rather, is your life reflecting that limited love of the world? Here are three ways to tell if your focus is more on seeking worldly love instead of God’s love.
The Church opened a door on Tuesday. I know what you’re thinking. Cool, Church, don’t you do that every day? How else am I supposed to get in there? I mean, when I’m late for Mass every other Sunday (I swear I try to be a good Catholic), I even open the door myself. “Aha!” says the Church, “Bet you can’t open THIS door…”
In high school I really stressed about entering the seminary. I asked this priest, “How do you KNOW if you’re called to be a priest or not?” What I really wanted was some step-by-step Buzzfeed-esque test to figure it all out for me. The priest just looked at me and shrugged. “I dunno. You have to talk to God to see where He’s calling you.”
I’m a cradle Catholic. I went to a Catholic preschool, a Catholic grade school (Academy of the Sacred Heart), and now currently attend a Catholic high school (Cor Jesu Academy). #CatholicEducationSinceDiapers My family and I go to mass every Sunday, I go to a Catholic girl’s camp every summer, and I have theology class every other day. I should have a perfect prayer life, right? If only it was that easy.
