Ross and Debbie have been married for 23 years, and they are members of Immaculate Conception Parish in Dardenne Prairie, MO (aka ICD). Ross has been volunteering at SteubySTL for 12 years, and Debbie has been for 13 years.
At our conferences, their forte is Speaker Hospitality. They find it fun to get to know the speakers personally and enjoy serving their needs by taking logistical concerns away from them and allowing them to focus on the spiritual emphasis they are so good at providing.
When he’s not a SteubySTL, Ross works in sales of plastic packaging products. For fun, he serves as the basketball coordinator at ICD and is active in youth sports in the St. Charles District CYC. Debbie works as an office manager at a pediatric doctor’s office, and for fun enjoys being a mom and wife, boating, and exercising.
Their favorite part of the weekend is seeing the positive energy the teens have toward their faith and the bonding of kids from across the region sharing in a common interest.
One of their favorite fun memories is the time Ross received the Sacrament of Reconciliation from Father Larry Richards on a golf cart as he was taking him the PSU to hear the teen’s confessions.
They try their very best to be a positive example to their children and other kids in their parish and community by practicing what they preach – treating all humans with the dignity and respect God gave them regardless of what their differences might be: social, physical, spiritual etc. Their motto: “We are all called to be of service to others. Find an area you enjoy and give back and be positive and present in that calling!”
Their advice to keep the spirit of Steuby year round?
“Stay involved in wholesome activities at home and with friends. Go to Mass every Sunday with your family, stay active in your parish youth group and always be kind and show respect to everyone.”
